The Centre itself stands within its own car park providing ample parking for our visitors. Reserved parking is arranged for Seminars, Conferences and Meetings.

 

Food Manufacturing

Accommodation for Manufacturing consists of PROJECT/DEVELOPMENT KITCHEN equipped with a wide range of cooking equipment and utensils and supported by Development Chef and Technician as required.

 

Cook House – for the scaling up of products post development or for the production of pilot batches of products. Equipment includes Bratt Pan, Combi Oven, Ice Cream Machine, Fryers and Ranges, also available with or without staff support.

 

 

Taste Panel – an 8 boothed panel room built to the specification provided by Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association. The room is pressurised and is provided with comfort heating and cooling. Each booth has a red and white light and a P.C with access to the ‘Compusense’ software. Sample preparation is accommodated in the adjacent domestic kitchen/laboratory.

Production Hall – The Production Hall is equipped with a range of equipment including Multipond ‘Toppings Unit’ weigher, PA Semi Automated Packaging Machine, Norprint Labeller and Safeline Metal Detector. We are also able to offer technical support.

Services to Industry – The Food Technology Centre is committed to serving the Food Sector through the provision of expert services in product development, product benchmarking, sensory and consumer trials and market research.
